JLL Taiwan Office

JLL Taiwan's office in Taipei 101 Tower sets a new standard as the building's first WELL Platinum certified workspace, also achieving LEED Gold certification. This renovation demonstrates JLL’s commitment to shaping the future of real estate with sustainable, resilient, and healthy environments. 

Driven by JLL’s vision to lead in sustainability, the office showcases JLL Taiwan’s innovative “Green Design and Build Service,” which supports clients on the path to net-zero carbon buildings. The project emphasizes sustainable construction practices, reducing carbon emissions while enhancing occupant well-being. 

Drawing inspiration from Taiwan's landscape and culture, the design integrates local materials with modern aesthetics. Sustainability features include LED lighting, carbon-labeled partitions, recycled-content carpets, and renewable furniture materials. Human-centered elements include GREENGUARD certified carpets, rigorous air quality management, ergonomic workstations, accessible wellness facilities, and extensive water points in line with WELL standards. The office ensures abundant natural light and scenery, with 75% of workstations enjoying direct views of plants and natural landscapes. 

Activity-Based Working (ABW) adoption eliminates fixed seating, instead offering varied work settings that cater to different activities. This flexible approach has delivered tangible results, raising employee satisfaction from 74% to 95%. 

In addition to supporting well-being, the sustainable design delivers impressive operational results—cutting costs by 4.1% and saving over 1,100 kWh of energy annually, despite a larger office footprint. As Taiwan advances toward stricter carbon regulations, the JLL Taiwan office serves as a model of how traditional culture and contemporary design can together support ESG goals and inspire both employees and clients to embrace a greener future.
