Terms & Conditions

Entry Submission & Judging

Entrants hereby represent and warrant that the design (“Design”) submitted for the International Sustainable Design Awards 2025 (“Awards”) is original, independently created, and does not infringe upon the rights (including but not limited to copyrights, design rights, patents, and other proprietary rights) of any third party.
Entrants hereby acknowledge and warrant that they are the sole owner or have obtained authorization from the owner(s) of all rights related to the submitted Design.
Entrants hereby acknowledge and warrant the accuracy of all information presented in their submitted entries. If a third party makes a claim against an entry, the Entrant is required to resolve the issue personally and promptly.
The Entrant agrees to indemnify HKASD against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from any breach of the above representations and warranties. Should any submitted or awarded Design infringe on third-party rights, HKASD reserves the right to revoke the relevant Awards.
All the design entries must be submitted before the official deadline at each stage of the competition; if the delivery of the design entry is not completed within the time specified by the organiser and executive organiser, it shall be deemed disqualified.
The organiser and executive organiser may collect the entrants’ personal information for the purpose of design promotion and the administration of this award and competition. By registering for entry, the Entrant consents to the collection, processing, and use of their personal information within the necessary scope stated above.
Entrants agree to pay all entry fees to HKASD before the submission deadline. All entry fees are non-refundable.
The decisions of the Judging Panel are final, and no appeals will be entertained.

Winners’ Benefits

Winners grant, on a gratuitous basis and without any fee or royalty, to the Hong Kong Arts and Sustainable Design Association (“HKASD”), the right to use, edit, reproduce, and publish the winning designs in promotional materials, publications, or any media related to the Awards.
While reasonable care will be taken in handling the winning designs, HKASD is not liable for any loss or damage unless due to negligence. Conditions like rust or discolouration due to moisture are not considered damage.
Winners agree to pay all winners’ package fees to HKASD before the deadline. All winners’ package fees are non-refundable.

Others

HKASD reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Awards for any reason without reimbursement for related expenses.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region after the event
HKASD reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, which will be binding on all Entrants. Amendments will be posted on the official Awards webpage without further notice.
