ifva Festival | Reaching a Milestone Three Decades: The 30th ifva Festival Takes Centre Stage
HKASD is delighted to be one of the Supporting Organisations of ifva Festival, bringing together visionary creative forces to celebrate three decades of independent moving-image creation.
Organised by Hong Kong Arts Centre, the 30th ifva Festival is back and bolder than ever! From October 9 to 24, the Festival presents finalist screenings and a series of public programmes, showcasing shortlisted works hailing from Hong Kong and across Asia. This year’s competition features categories including Open Group, Asian New Force, Animation, Tertiary Students Groups, Youth Groups, and the newly added “AI Creation”. The finalists reflect the creative vision, imaginative flair, and innovative practice of a new generation of filmmakers, offering audiences a glimpse into the diverse landscape of contemporary moving-image creation.
Two symposiums are going to focus on the development of moving-image media and short films, the future AI ecosystem, and the challenges and changes it poses to creative workflows, fostering exchange and discussion among creators, industry professionals, and audiences.
